Terror  Attacks in Mumbai Mumbai is always a place for everything right from education, jobs, entertainment, politics, culture etc. However, this city in India is also a place for numerous unnatural adversities such as terror attacks. In a densely populated region, which is also the financial capital of the nation, Mumbai has faced bad times but still stood up strong and this marks the spirit of the city.  On the day of 26/11 attacks of Mumbai, I pay humble tribute to the dedicated Officers, who have sacrificed their lives in successfully nabbing  the terrorists for the safety of each and every Mumbaikar.  • The disastrous eve of 26/11 : Mumbai shuddered on 26th November 2008, when the heinous terrorist attacks occurred across the city. 10 members of Pakistan based Islamist terrorist organization, 'Laskar-e-Taiba' carried out coordinated shootings & bombings in 12 prominent places of Mumbai. Mumbai has the one of the brilliant transport networks like BEST buses, Mumbai Locals, Metro, networks of Rikshaws, taxis etc. Let us see the engrossing facts of these transport lines which are less known & surprising.  The Mumbai Locals : The mega city of Mumbai is incomplete and unimaginable without the superfast Mumbai locals. The local train system makes the city even more vibrant because of its well designed network which commutes around 7.5 million passengers on day to day basis (pre COVID), which is equivalent to Singapore country's total population. The first passenger railway of India ran in Mumbai around 168 years back in 1853 between Mumbai's CSMT (Bori Bunder Station) to Thane. The jaw dropping fact is , it was a part of the first railway network to be built during British era, not just in India
