Rafale Fighter Jets : The Game Changer
First batch of 36 Rafale Fighter jets arrived in Ambala, Haryana (India) On Wednesday, 29 July 2020 evening. Rafale arrived in India after covering 7,000 km journey from France.They were given a water salute by IAF in the Ambala air base. It is indeed a game changer for India's defense system. We cannot forget the air crew who brought rafales to India and created a proud moment for all Indians. It was headed by Captain Harkirat Singh, conferred with Shourya Chakra. Also these 7 Indian pilots were given a training by French Dassault Aviation company.
These Rafale Jets have numerous merits and advantages. That's why it is rightly regarded as 'Game changers' for the Indian Air Force by Former air chief marshal B.S. Dhanoa.
Let's see , why these jets were of so much Importantance and what are it's advantages
•] It's multi role capabilities make it a boon, they are, electronic warfare, Air defense, ground support and in depth strikes.
•] These can be tuned for delivering nuclear weapons.
•] It would be able to shoot down an enemy aircraft over 100 km away without crossing the Indian Air space.
•] Each aircraft has 14 storage stations for weapons.
We also must know some information about the Rafales i.e. each rafale have a
ferry range of 3700km
Their, Length is 15.30 M
Weight is 24.5 tonnes
Height is 5.30 M
It has internal fuel capacity of 4.7 tonnes.
These Rafale Jets were purchased by Government of India in sept 2016. Under the leadership of PM. Shri Narendra Modi. And during the tenure of Late. Shri Manohar Parrikar as a Defense Minister.
It was secured by French firm Dassault in an inter governmental deal worth Rs. 59,000 crores for 36 Rafale fighter jets.
It has been used earlier by French Air Forces for its mission in Afghanistan, Libya and Mali.
This is a very proud moment for all Indians. Because India is day by day becoming more capable and self reliant. And as said by our Defense Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh, that "This would mark a new era in the military History".
And we must be sure about the fact that, Indian flag will forever wave in the limitless sky. 🇮🇳
