Book Review
The power of positive thinking
By Normal Vincent Peale
This is a elf help book. Self help books are generally written to help people to change or improve some aspects of personal lives and in solving day-to-day problems. It makes a reader realise how some basic ideas of happiness are important to enjoy the life.
The title of the book itself make us to understand what the entire content is all about. Being positive in every situation is the main theme of this book. The thing that I particularly liked is that the author has given many real life experiences of people who infused positive attitude and regular prayers in their life and how it helped them to lead a successful and peaceful life. After reading the entire book, a person can thoroughly agree that positive outlook is a must in everybody's life. The author has wisely encapsulated all the aspects of mind and human thinking process. The book is a guiding force to lead a better life and to attain eternal peace, by infusing optimistic outlook with spirituality and kindness.
Entire book reflects, "Positive anything is better than negative nothing". π
All these factors has made this book a international bestseller.
The focus of the book is on spirituality and prayer power more than optimism. The writer talks about power of spirituality throughout the book.
To conclude, this kind of self help books greatly influence our minds and thoughts. This book is a must read.

ReplyDeleteSome of my friends recommended me to read “The power of positive thinking” by Norman Vincent Peale being one among others to be great self-improvement books.
ReplyDeleteNot knowing anything about the book or author, I decided to read it. I was very surprised at how explicitly Christian the book is; I was expecting a secular "pull yourself up by your own bootstraps" kind of self-improvement book. Instead, the author focuses on prayer and involving God in every aspect of your life; and not just in one or two chapters, but all of them.
The central message of this book by the great inspirational writer, Dr. Vincent Peale, is being positive and transforming life, not just your own, but of all those associated with you.
The review of the book “The power of positive thinking” by Norman Vincent Peale is well written by Dnyanada Prabhudessai.
Thankyouπ
